Anyhow you want to put it, you are in front of the phenomenon in the videogames market ever: 22 millions copies sold, 23 millions tracks downloaded, guitar hero presents now the fourth generation, which is going to unite gamebands from all over the planet. And from now on the guitar heroes will not only play the big bands, but they will start creating and sharing their brand new music..
Who has never listened to an AC/DC or Iron Maiden record at the highest volume, in the intimacy of his room, protected of indiscreet glances, absorbed in the energy of music and pretending to play an imaginary guitar? Feeling even a little bit stupid?
Guitar Hero, the most popular musical game ever, came up with the idea of replacing
imagination and the broomstick of the most creative. Since its launching in 2005 until today, it has sold more than 14 million units and has brought in more than one billion dollars only in the US. The first Guitar Hero version developed by Harmonix Music is immediately a massive success. Already in November 2006, Guitar Hero II was put up for sale. The number of songs included is huge. Neversoft, the company that developed the 3rd version, has spared no expense when buying the most famous rights of music history. But Neversoft has gone beyond, developing a compatible version with Pc and Mac, but also with all the consoles of the market.
